Introduction

Minas Gerais is the most important historical state of Brazil because there was a lot of slave’s history. A lot of churches were built there. The city became famous because of the amount of gold and precious stones in the mountains and rivers.

Minas Gerais - Location and Weather

When we went in August to Minas the weather was pretty cold in the morning, very hot in the afternoon and cold at night.
Location
Minas Gerais  is one of the 26 states of Brazil, the second most populous and the second richest, fourth largest area in the federation. The capital is the city of Belo Horizonte, located near the central area.The main producer of coffee and milk in the country, Minas Gerais is known for its heritage of architecture and colonial art in historical cities such as Ouro Preto, Diamantina and Tiradentes.
